Services: Our Place’s programs are now operating in our brand-new, purposefully designed building at 919 Pandora Avenue.

Our 45 transitional housing units allow us to accommodate both genders, and we are developing programs that focus on giving the residents a hand up.

Our dining room has moved into the new facility, and we are now serving over 200 lunches and 250 dinners each day. As a result of our larger dining room, we are experiencing a significant increase in meals served and no doubt will far exceed the 110,000 meals served in 2007. Thank you for your generous support in helping us meet the needs of those who are hungry!

Food safe training is again being offered for those volunteering or wishing to work in the food industry.

Our Place's drop-in centre offers a living room to those in the downtown core. Open from from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday to Friday, people are welcome to come in, have a nutritious snack, warm up, visit, use our computers in our new computer lab, read a book in our library and access our medical services. We also have a hygiene and clothing area, which are essential to those we serve.

As part of building and supporting a healthy community, we provide an outreach program, advocacy, referral, individual assistance and various programs designed to stimulate and engage the community, including a women’s circle, an artists’ and crafters’ collective and a mental health circle. We are constantly looking for new methods and programs to enrich lives.
