Drop-in

Our Community Centre is more than a place to warm up—it’s a place to be welcomed, heard, and seen. Here, people can connect with drop-in workers, share a conversation, and feel part of a caring community.

Whether someone needs to access a computer to apply for a job, borrow a book from our library, or simply sit somewhere safe and calm, our drop-in space offers dignity, comfort, and connection.

For many, home may be a shelter bed, a park bench, or a single room. At Our Place, the Community Centre becomes a living room—a space of belonging for those navigating poverty, isolation, housing instability, and addiction recovery. It’s where trust begins, and where the journey forward can start.

Outreach

Our Street Outreach team is focused on building relationships with individuals living rough in Victoria. Trust is the foundation of all our work—and it starts with showing up, listening without judgment, and meeting people where they are.

Through daily conversations and consistent connection, the team learns what each person needs to feel ready for housing, care, or addiction treatment.

This work takes time, patience, and compassion. But every interaction moves someone one step closer to safety, stability, and healing.

“This is the first place to accept me at my worst and not judge me. I know I am safe here – it is my second home. I will always be grateful to those who helped me and continue to do so.” -Jill
