Dickens’ A Christmas Carol

Each December join Our Place and CBC for a dramatic reading of Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol at First Met United Church on Balmoral. It’s the Christmas message full of hope, redemption and . . . ghosts.

Featuring the vocal talents of CBC Radio personalities, Reach Choir and some very special guests. This uplifting in-person event promises to be a heart-warming evening for the whole family!

Coldest Night of the Year

On Saturday, Feb. 22, 2025, 700+ Coldest Night walkers took to the streets of downtown Victoria, the Westshore and Saanich peninsula. We walked in solidarity, raising funds and support for those struggling with hurt, hunger, and homelessness in our community.

Thanks to our community’s care and generosity, $194,925 was raised at Coldest Night Victoria Pandora and Westshore! Thank you SO much for walking, fundraising and donating!

Over the past months, Our Place has expanded its shelter and recovery programs while also seeing a 28% increase in food costs and a 25% rise in demand for community meals. Funds raised through Coldest Night Pandora will be instrumental in helping meet these growing needs and ensure that individuals continue to receive essential supports.

Hope Blooms on Pandora

As the cherry blossoms bloom on Pandora, join Our Place for a hope-filled spring brunch in support of Pathways off Pandora.

Thank you to our donors and sponsors for empowering Our Place to build a structured path from survival to stability, from housing to health and employment, and from recovery to independence!
