Nourish Hope

For many of us, the upcoming holiday season is a time of warmth and celebration with loved ones. For those facing poverty and homelessness, it can be one of the toughest and loneliest times of the year. Dark, rainy days and nights mean shivering bodies and dampened spirits. It takes a lot of courage to find hope when you’re cold, hungry, and struggling.

But it’s hope and belonging that can be found inside the doors to Our Place. More than 160 trained, compassionate Our Place outreach workers, housing support workers and paramedics across our sites, work tirelessly every single day to bring comfort and support to our community’s most vulnerable. Our Place outreach staff are the ones who plant a seed of hope in so many which, in turn, acts as a catalyst for change and a desire to find a path to a better life. It’s a chance for us to connect one-on-one, to begin to build trusting relationships that can lead to more positive journeys. You nourish hope and belonging. Thank you for your kindness.
